Gordon Grieve

Interim Lead Pastor

Gordon holds a Bachelor of Sacred Music from Canadian Bible College, a Master of Divinity from Regent College, and a Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky. Gordon served in a variety of ministry roles across Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Ontario, and Alberta—including Minister of Music, Youth Pastor, and more than 30 years as a Lead Pastor. He also served as Chaplain at Ambrose University. Beyond pastoral ministry, he is a certified Dale Carnegie Trainer and Leadership Coach, combining practical leadership principles with a heart for spiritual growth and transformation. Gordon is married to Arlene and they have three adult children and four grandsons.

Ron Fairbanks

Associate Pastor

Ron and Dalia have served together as missionaries since 1993. Ron earned a HBSc in Forestry from Lakehead University and a Master of Divinity from Tyndale University, formerly Ontario Theological Seminary. They have 4 grown children, Hannah, Tamara, Jason and Joel. The whole family like travelling and the outdoors.

Elaine Shaneyfelt

Minister of Outreach/Administration

Elaine has called Calgary home since 2016. She earned her Master of Social Work from The University of Alabama and served as a social worker for 16 years. Elaine received her Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Elaine enjoys hiking in beautiful K-country.

Christy Nova

Southwinds Kids Minister

Christy grew up in Calgary and is proud to call the city home. She received her Bachelor of Education from Alberta Bible College and has worked with children most of her career. Christy has been married to Rex since 2011 and they have one daughter. In 2023, the Nova family returned to Calgary after living in rural Manitoba for two years. Christy and her family love to travel and see new places.

Nathan Taylor

Church Planter/Pastor

Nathan and his wife, Emily, moved to Calgary in 2023 from Ruston, Louisiana. They have 3 children: Melody, Madilynn and John Mark. Nathan is a graduate of Louisiana Tech and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Nathan works as a nurse at Oilfields General Hospital in Diamond Valley.

Nathan is doing a church planting residency with Southwinds Church.
